Choosing a slim watch

The POEDAGAR 3011 is 7 mm thick and the BERNY 2944M, a 38 mm men's watch with a small-seconds dial and a Miyota 1L45 quartz movement, is 7.5 mm. Most of the women's models are 8 to 10 mm thick, with cases from the 23 mm rectangular CURREN 9093 to the 40 mm LIGE 10049. Some are dressy in style but not slim. The T-WINNER 188 skeleton and the LIGE 6826 open-heart automatic are both 14 mm thick, which catches on a tight cuff.

Automatic dress watches

Four of the 24 are automatic: the T-WINNER 188, the LIGE 6826 and the CADISEN C8244 and C8175. The CADISEN C8244 runs on a Miyota 8215. The rest are quartz.

Water resistance and finishes

Of the 24, 22 are rated 3 bar, which covers rain and hand-washing but not a shower. The C8175 is rated 5 bar and the C8244 10 bar. Rose gold here is a finish, not solid gold, and the stones on the OLEVS 5189 and 9943 are glass crystals, not diamonds.
