The four buttons are not sealed for use in water, so never press them when wet. Rain and hand-washing are fine at 3 bar; showers and swimming are not.

It is rated 3 bar (30 m) on the maker's spec sheet. That covers rain and washing your hands. Take it off to shower or swim.
My SKMEI says 1252 on the back. Is it the SKMEI 1901?
Yes. SKMEI states that the 1252 and 1901 are the same watch; 1901 is the newer model number.
